Website Production Services
My name is Chris Frank - I'm a long-time Carrboro, NC resident, a musician and for the last ten years the operator of an online nonprofit supporting folk music, efolkMusic.org.
My experience developing the efolkMusic site led me to creating websites for a number of individuals and organizations, and I've learned a few things along the way. For many groups, the website is their "window to the world", and quite frankly, a lot of websites that have been around for awhile are looking a little dated, more like knitting sites from 1999 than modern, interactive "web 2.0" applications.
Luckily, websites that used to cost thousands can now be built for a fraction of that, thanks to a lot of great work by open source developers. I believe your website could be a more effective tool than it currently is, and that modest "job-creating" investment made now will put you into the best position for the future.
What's great about these "new" kinds of sites is that they are based on "content management systems", with dynamic information from databases rather than static display pages, AND they are easily maintained and updated by your organization's own people, no gatekeeper/webmaster needed.
I have created more than 50 websites. Please take a look efolkMusic.org, or my band's site www.redclayramblers.com, or view a list of active sites here- if you like what you see,
